I wonder are there any oils or additives that would help the blockers bite much harder inside the box.

Often friction modifiers can be used in LSD's to help them bite better, maybe something like that could help ? Is it something RPM etc have ever looked into ?

Dropping engine rpm is one thing ( if it can actually drop fast enough without a proper engine cut )...but also slowing down the gears to allow them to synchros to engage is another matter.

Or other than PPG's insanely priced gearset, are there any Magnum type dog engagement boxes available yet ?
That would certainly fix that aspect of shifting.

Oil additives, I doubt it... We've discussed with Rockland Standard Gear that topic...

A dog box has been discussed, though it would remove a lot of the street driveability.. Certainly wouldn't be impossible but it would be less enjoyable...

I've considered looking at Lenco CS1 as it has the option for manual shifting or CO2 shifting and it's rated for 3000 HP... For a five speed transmission I would need four gear cases and a reverser unit... The biggest issue with this idea is the substantial cost... The gearing options are amazing though...

I had my T56 faceplated a couple of years ago. It's a little clunky on normal use, TBH as it isnt a daily it doesnt bother me in the slightest. And lets face it unless the journeys are all short or in towns, you dont need to change gear that often.

I'd like a proper sequential, but it's just a tad beyond my budget. If they get their finger out I'll buy the sequential shifter for the T56...but if they take too long, exchange rates are getting worse and it'd make more sense to save for the proper sequential instead.

Seen ths video on youtube a few weeks back....I was surprised at the mount of manual trans options there were in the US, I thought they were all obsessed with autos.

https://youtu.be/hRkoHWnEMAI

What surprises me most about these mile cars ( or even 1/2 mile ), the ones pulling big speeds...is they all seem to run that top speed in 4th gear.

Yeah I've considered faceplating the gears as well and use a good shifter... Time will tell, gotta get the oilfield back up and running.. No money for the toys right now. Auto's, best dam theft protection there is in the states is a manual transmission... To hear some talk you would think automatic transmissions are a thing of the past and no one builds them anymore... Thing is, I usually work internationally and almost everything I've ever ridden in anywhere else is a manual transmission... Contrary to the arrogance of so many, there is a talent in drivers from other countries... All over Europe, Egypt, Nigeria, Benin Africa, Brazil, Curacao, etc... They are weaned on manual transmission since that's all most anyone has... and they can dance magic on the pedals...
I had a kid playfully ask if he could drive my car, I told him it was manual and that if he could figure out how to start it, go ahead... He said and I quote, "that's a car with three pedals?" Yup, he didn't want to then... So disappointing... Damn people want everything done for them... Heck, you cant text and drive and facetime with a manual...

Kids these days... no one in my family owned a car with a manual, so I had to go out of my way to pester friends into teaching me to drive one. Most of them just aren't interested enough to find a way to learn. Now I just feel old.

LOL, you aint old... just a rough generation, and it's not universal,

Manual transmissions will be around long after you and I are gone... regardless of how old you are currently... and good on you for pursuing the knowledge... When the zombie apocalypse happens you can drive anything...

Would love to be there for that stuff.

I wonder if I could get at least 165 with my car as is. Not in a mile but flat out top speed. Would take well over a mile. hahaha
