Excessive rust

Is it me or do other Camaro's look this bad underneath. This is my 3rd Camaro and all have had the exhaust changed out but the other 2 did not look like this.

The Exhaust has been replaced but the suspension parts look like hell for a new car.

Could be due to all of the salt in the FL air

You driving on the beach? I don't drive mine in the winter, but it's almost 4 years old and looks great.

No... something is wrong.

Friend bought a new 2010 SS and it was the same way. Everything underneath was rusting.... Chevrolet replaced the car. You need to take it back to the dealer and have them contact the Chevrolet rep. Its only gonna get worse.

I have had this car for just over a month and I am starting to wonder where the hell was it before I purchased it brand new or was it in a high water condition.

My guess is the car was driven in Canada right after it was built while the roads were salted?

I guess it's because I live in Pittsburgh, but that looks very mild compared to cars here, my car included. I have rust all over those components and its a lot worse, but I can't say it concerns me. It's a fact of life in the North for a daily driver, no matter how much you wash it.

Trust me I know what you are talking about,I was born and raised in Akron,OH and a couple winters on the salt treated streets can reek havoc on a car.

I've seen five year old cars that were driving in the winter look better than that.

I'm the guy that had my dealer take back my first car. That looks just like mine did.

It was caused by taking test drives on salted roads. Then it comes back to the lot and sits.Mine had been on the lot for a couple months. The winter of 2009-2010 was unusually cold for us here in NC...we had a bit of ice and snow and they salt the crap out of the roads with even the slightest forecast of wintry weather.
I bought my first Camaro in early April of 2010 and now my dealer washes the bottom of all his inventory if they salt the roads...

I see you are in Florida but that doesn't mean your Car was shipped directly there from the factory.

Check the build date...I bet it was transferred from somewhere where it snows. How many miles were on it when you bought it?
The window sticker will also show the Original Dealer who ordered it in the bottom right corner.

Have them buy it back....you didn't buy a brand new car to have that shit on it already

It sure can! I just changed my rotors for the first time and they were practically disintegrating they were so rusted out, had to beat them off with a 12 lb sledgehammer.

But I digress, sorry about the rust regardless, it does stink to have that on such a new ride!
