Am I wrong?

I just did my oil change and put in 6 qts, but I didn't get 6 qts out. Should i be getting 6 out? I did the change to Royal Purple and noticed a little more than 1 mpg increase but was a little concerned with not getting out 6 qts or a little less than that?

If you have a v6 I get the same thing. After reading the catch can forums it makes sense why that happens.

Did you have the car level when draining? 3 seems to be to little.

That has to be it. Three quarts is not enough to get a full oil change.

Question

that is something i do not like about the oil pan drain. instead of being at the rear of the pan, so you can use ramps to roll up on. and all oil will drain.
it s on the side where you have to have the car level to get it all out. bad design for the oil drain plug i say

Did you check the level before you drained it? Maybe it was low.

Sounds like you may have been 3 quarts low. Check it more often. You're lucky the whole thing didn't blow up.

Could b a faulty seal out if the factory, it may be burning the oil. Better watch it.
