Lightbulb New 2014 Camaro Z/28 for Allocation

Just browsed the internet regarding the new 2014 Camaro z/28 and saw that there was a dealership that already had an Allocation in NJ..???
I tried to contact them and they told me that they are only marking the vehicle up 3k over MSRP.... That seems very low right??? Let me hear your thoughts....

My thoughts? There will always be someone stupid enough to pay the ADM on new cars. There always has been and always will. This car will be no different. Not all will have ADMs, but I believe the car will be limited, thus really going to be under the ADM flag in most places.

Bet you didn't know back in 1988 that the new FWD Grand Prix's had a $1000-1200 ADM on them at many dealerships at first. Plus those little PT Cruisers had unbelievable markups- at first. So yes, even POS cars had ADMs. And there was always some dumbass with a handful of money willing to pay it.

Any dealer that charges you above MSRP is one that shouldn't ever get your business. My two cents on the subject anyway.

edit: What's the name of the dealership?

Allocations=end of the the month.
This dealer= BS

Call him out, tell him you'll be glad to place a deposit if he shows you on his screen his allocation from GM.

Doesn't do any good to talk about something that isn't true

This dealing is lying to you. Find someone else to do business with.

Not sure why we need 3 threads to tell us this.

3k over is not good. It's 3k more than you should pay

No Lies.... Just went there and he showed me his allocation and showed me the backend of the build and the MSRP and the over sticker price.. it was the easiest dealer I have ever been too.. Im shocked. said it would be here in early spring and only wanted a $1,000 deposit

That sounds about right. Pricing just came out and I'm guessing allocations came down today and ordering will open up in the next two weeks.

The 3k is still bogus though. Find another MSRP only dealer.

Ive contacted man of the dealers in the area and they are doing 5k over or 10k over plus many of them are not even getting any at all. its based on how many Camaros you sell a year

Just called my dealer and spoke to my buddy who is the sales manager. He said he has not seen any allocations in his system nor is aware that allocations are in process BUT he would make a couple calls and see what he could find out.

You may just have called the only dealer with one and if that is the case....you need to play the lottery. :-)
