Ergonomics and comfort is more than likely the reason they resemble people.
I mean, it would be pretty sad if they resembles giraffes or something else right?

Me too. I tried to point this out to my wife and she thought I was wacko too! Despite this, I think they are the best looking seats ever!

It may look strange, but it's actually incredibly comfortable.

They look great... and the seats even have an airbag in them for side impact to go along with front and curtain airbags. Total of 6.

Look at it this way... with tinted glass, it'll look like 2 people in the car when your riding in the HOV lane by yourself!

They push down so they don't stick up. Only when you pull it up will it look that way.

They did this so you get the old school bench look but with modern safety.

I think they're actually really good looking...

How much time do you really spend looking at your headrests anyways?

This seriously doesnt remind you of a persons head? lol they could have made them squared off.. i mean it doesnt look bad at all but for the people who say they in no way shape or form look like two people sitting come on guys!!! stop it do you have to deny every little thing no matter how insignificant? they looks like heads thats pretty clear lol it doesnt even look bad, but the denial is making me rofl.

It looks like a seat to me.
Any seat can be said that it looks like an outline of a person.
The top of the seat would be the body/shoulders.
The headrest the head!!!???

Anyhoo....looks amazing to me!
