Imperial Blue to be Cancelled??? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was at my dealership today and they informed me that they were told Imperial Blue was going to be dropped from the Camaro palette due to poor sales.

I’m not one to believe everything I hear, however, since this is the colour I’ve ordered, I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has heard of this or can confirm as to its validity.

Not sure how that could be true, since there's still a production backlog. I'd think it would be waaaaay to early in the life of this car to be making decisions like that.

If they cancelled IBM I'd probably order one in that color instead of SIM. It's a gorgeous color and it would be more rare.

All that matters to me is my production time! I love the IBM I ordered but I'd change it faster than you can blink if my color choice is holding up production.

If that's true, its ashame.
I second guessed the IBM choice for awhile and now that I have it, I'm so glad I got it over any of the other colors. Pictures don't do it justice.

I really like this color but I've yet to see it on a Camaro. I saw it on a Cobalt and a Malibu. And it had more of a touch of purple to it than I'd care for.

I really like the look of it in the pictures you posted. Where it kind of has like a sonic blue look to it. Would you say it's more like that or is it identical to the Cobalt and Malibu IBM?

I don't believe it. The Silverado and the Impala are both built in the same plant, and both of those vehicles sell great in IBM, so I don't really see them taking it away from the Camaro.

i doubt it... but if anything i am glad I already have mine...

there was a list with the colors sales... the Aqua and Imperial blues are the least bought colors. Aqua begin the least and 2nd Imperial blue.

I seen in the street... 1 yellow... 3 blacks and 1 red.
