I cut pieces of pressure treated 2x4 into blocks and use them for my jack stands and floor jack. Just make sure the jack stands lay perpendicular to the grain. Nice and strong and don't move one bit.

I show how to make that in a different thread. This jack pad is for a ZL1 that has a low rocker that you do not want to bend up. So you need something to go up into the jack points made for it. Yes you could use wood, but it just wears out after use.

Our new pads will stay in place before you get the jack under with embedded magnet, also they are made of tough nylon.

Also what is the cost of that? I make the jack pad now with a base plate for less cost then this one.
I have a proto type now for the new one I will be selling and take the place of my older stile. Yes anyone that wants a new style and have the old one, will get it at cost.
That is a jack puck for a Corvette. The frame of the vette has a hole that you put that puck in place and twist to engage it.

I'm still using the original non-magnetized pad that you sent me, works like a charm! Very happy with it.

LOL. You're like me, you assume it will fail so you buy in on a good deal. I bought two myself. $59 each. Great for swapping drag tires at the track. I also have two of their cooling fans and my Jegs portable impact wrench. Had the stuff down to a science. Changed fronts and rears in under 25 mins.

Sorry for the thread jack. A piece of me still misses this car. 643rwhp running 10's in a full weight (4,444 lbs.) car is just stupid fast. Ran it up to 187mph and ran out of man marbles to go faster.....and yes she was still pulling.
