How about Hemi heads on an LS3.

I don't have any details as this picture was forwarded to me from a friend. It's a GM LS3 engine with hemispherical heads. I wonder how much horse power this will produce?

Notice the blower as well......

That is the newest LARGE VOLUME Maggie that should be available before too long.

That would make for a very very nice pairing on top of a built LPE 427 !

Given thats not very practical nor cheap looking, why should it be against the law? Its not like Mopar owns the rights to Hemispherical combustion chambers. That being said, its a better design, not a magical design that will give you dozens of ponies over a wedge head.

why? HEMI is a trademark name, hemispherical heads are a technology.

these arent chrysler HEMI heads on an LS engine. they are Hemispherical heads on an LS engine.

big difference. tho I do find it funny that chrysler changed their "Hemi" heads to mimick that of the LS series heads.

that setup looks like it would require a pretty high cowl to fit under the hood with the maggie. Would something like this work with the default pushrod setup? obviously they would be a different length but angle and such would be different I'd think??

These are simply hemispherical heads. Clearly, the owner is not putting Dodge parts on a Chevy engine. You're supposed to dodge Dodge components at all costs.

:bangdesk: Hemispherical heads are inferior for efficiency. Chrysler's decision to redesign the Hemi headers on its name brand engine is clear evidence of that. This would be a step backwards in performance. As cool and custom as it would seem to change the headers, the real gains are all coming from that gigantic supercharger. It might even gain more if the owner decided to use appropriately designed heads rather than inferior heads designed based on the false logic that a perfect hemisphere will better utilize fuel and air to create the perfect spark of power.
