Hopefully the front will move through in time for Fri night racing. Cool temps and low humidity make for great racing weather.

Well, I to PBIR Friday before last and had one run. It seemed like a car broke within ten minutes of the crew cleaning the track from the previous car. And this went on all night, just awful.

But I did witness something very funny. A Supercharged 2010 SS had a best run of 10.9 but the run before that it had a funny surprise. When the driver shifted into second gear the car jerked so hard the car stalled. The driver was like...WTF and then he heard "This is OnStar, it appears you've been in an accient..." OnStar deactived the car thinking it crashed!! Well, they had to call OnStar back to make sure it didn't happen again.

thats hilarious, i was always told when you shift "hard" you actually lose time instead of shifting a tad slower but smoother

It was a horrible night for the breakdowns. It seemed like hours between runs.

I was in the staging lanes when he called OnStar back and heard their conversation. It was amusing. I can only pray that someday OnStar will mistake hard G's for an accident. Check Youtube for the same incident with the Hennessey CTS-V.

Come back out when the weather is colder and we'll have some fun.

At only 21 feet above sea level, it's very easy to run great numbers when the temp/humidity drop; great dense air.

I ran Wednesday at PBIR. The weather was pretty sweet . 57 degrees, 65% humidity, pressure of 30.14, DA was about -122, but there was no one there. Only about 30 cars or so. You could hot lap to your hearts content. They closed early at 10pm due to lack of racers. My best run of the night was a 12.69 on a 1.87 short time. I'm heading out again tonight if anyone is interested in going. The weather is gonna be great tonight too.
