Paint suggestions for a VR SS, please

My painter is standing by to do what I want next monday. I have two ways to go here after pouring over all the great looking rides here, I want to paint my car in charcoal/gunmetal silver on a Victory red car. That is a given. But up in the air as to which stripe configuration I will use. So let's hear it - what looks better? Thanks to the 2 people I stole your photos from.

Plan # 1
This is obviously the more popular style and I would do the hood and trunk. I think the roof might be too "shelby" looking. Opinions?

Plan #2
The second scenario is along the lines of "less is better" and would put two charcoal stripes on the hood like below, and then I'm undecided - probably just continue the stripes on the trunk? Or a full panel in the back? Dunno.... It would be a bit different.

So... comments?
