Man, there's a ton of work especially in the inlet. The blower body looks a lot easier but I'm sure that's tedious work with all those deep runners and places they need to get to...

How does the blower seal against the heads? Will those green gaskets still be used or do you need a sealer now too?

P.s. how did your heat exchanger look like? Not sure how many miles you made before tearing into it but im curious if there was any oil on it...

Factory green blower manifold to head intake port gasket is re-used. The only port they made larger than the gasket in my application is the throttle body inlet. I requested that so I could use the Nick Williams 102mm throttle body. KDi can still port the whole blower while leaving the throttle body set up for smaller ones between stock and the 102 if you desire.

I'm wondering why there is a vane in the cyl heads at all. I could see for n/a, but FI? what good is a vane? Is it just for fuel economy or emissions or? Does anyone know?
Also what is the butterfly seen in the inlet housing. That seems to be a big restriction to flow right there. Is it the boost bypass? If it is I know what's happening to mine when I get in there...

The butterfly in the inlet housing of the supercharger is a bypass. You aren't running under boost all the time.

On the vane in the cyl head of the LSA, I'm not 100% sure but I think it aids in mid-lift flow.

Edit: After doing some more research it simply seems that the "Swirl-Wing technology" as GM calls it simply improves fuel atomization.

Ah yes i tried that one earlier, but that is the complete head assy. I found the number now I think.
I am going to have them ported, and put in some better hardware..
I just ordered my cam etc., so thank you for your pics etc. you posted in this thread. it looks like I will be going knees deep into my engine compartment soon also..

Nice! Share the details with us as you progress. Would be cool to compare notes. I wouldn't mind comparing cam specs with you and why you chose what you did...
