No one wanted a Z28 more than I, but my ZL1 gave me more than I ever hoped for and ultragrin is a permanent ailment while driving my car. I am 100% sure that you will have the same affliction.

It seems to me GM shot themselves in the foot, the ZL1 should have been made with the LS7 engine. At $55K plus for the ZL1 they can't afford to put the LS7 in the car it would be priced out of its league. So why buy a Z28 with the LS7 at the same price? The 1LE should have been available with an engine option other than the LS3 426 HP. Haven't we've seen this before where GM is making bad decisions, look what's going on with Mustang in sales for NOV 2012 they out distanced the Camro by a long shot, why?

It has sintered Ti rods, and can only go to 657 to 675 hp. I have one in my Z06, serious LS7 power comes by re-sleeving with stronger cylinder walls and lower compression to handle the 15 to 18 psi required to reach 750 to 850 RWHP. Thats serious money at +$20K.

You can easily get to 657FWHP with an Edlebrock SC, or various SC; but those lightweight rods will bend past 700 fwhp. That ok in a Z06 vette where 3260lb/675=4.86lb/hp; but in a car at 3900 lbs that yields 5,77 lb/hp.

Frankly an LSA pumped to 900 FWHP!!! in a Z06 seems to be a cheap route to ZR1 power on a diet 3260/900=3.62!. So to make a world beating Z29 they need to use an aluminum subframe and go on a serious diet. An LSA crate w/o sc goes for 10
k. SC'd 18 K?

The LSA ZL1 can be sold in volume. The LS7 production cars are limited in volume by the EPA. The ONLY reason a LZ7 powered Camaro is going to be available is that the new C7 Vette will have a different range of engines leaving a short supply of LS7s for some very special Camaros.

GM and Chevrolet are not perfect, but TEAM Camaro got this exactly right.

If they make it in a medium blue similar to ABM. I'm in trouble.

Go pick her up...You will not be disappointed. Plus I just have a gut feeling there is going to be stipulations with that engine just like there was with the 1LE...but who knows . I picked mine up 11/28/2012. Still haven't stop receiving a bunch of compliments.

The Diesel is not listed in the Cruze though, that is supposed to be the first car it debuts in, this year. There's a few small oddities in there. I hope the LS7 isn't a mistake. I really want to think its a mistake , but AL and Scott are always so adamant there is still more goodies to come for the Camaro in this generation.

A hot-wheels blue, cloth interior 1ss/rs-1le with a LS7 would quite possibly be perfection.

Yeah, the diesel is for the Sonic (though who knows if those will be USDM, Canada-only, or Mexico-only Sonics). Also, I think Fen mentioned earlier that this is likely still a work in progress.
