Here are some pictures

I work on a Naval base and they sent an e-mail to all of the commands which are on the base stating that they will enforce the state law of having two plates. So, I have reluctantly installed the manual hideaway plate that you can get from Swift Motorsports. Due to the slope at the bottom of the facia, what you see in the photo is the best I could do to hide the bracket. While you can still see the bracket, I think it is less obtrusive on a black car. Also this car is on a slight up-slope so this is the sngle which the plate holder would be the most visible.

Can you post a picture of how the bracket is mounted to the car?

Thanks

So, I think a lot of cops are going to have a lot of respect for this car and will likely not bother you. If you get caught speeding, well that ticket is going to be more of an issue than a no front plate ticket, lol.
That's really funny. It's also funny that cops think people have nothing better to do than stop and talk to them.

I put mine on for an inspection and took it off an hour later. I'm not even going to worry about getting pulled over.

Has anyone mounted the swift or altec product on an SS bumper? From pictures it looks like the SS bumper is flatter on the bottom and may be more conducive to the hide away plate.

Also, did it HAVE to be mounted off center? I'm all about balance and symmetry so couldn't stand having it off-center.

I just called Swift Motersports and they told me that they do not as of yet have a solution for a 2SS with ground effects. They hope to in the next few months.

Here's my baby with front plates. I drove without front plates for the first 2 weeks because the dealer didn't have the bracket. It came in and I installed it myself. Yes, the first hole to drill was heartbreaking, but you get over it. After it was attached, I felt comfortable driving and parking in the street, now that I was legal. Plus, my plate on it makes it "Mine!"

Front plate mount

I recently found one designed for the '10 Camaro. It mounts without drilling the bumper or marking it.

Here is the link:
