Ours has been delivered to the dealer and is ready for pick up but we are waiting for some MRO form. Not sure what it is but apparently the DMV here in NYS needs it.

Just a couple more days. Now that I know it is here I am less anxious which makes no sense. Got lots of calls from my salesman today. It did arrive yesterday so apparently the guy I spoke to yesterday never actually did check to see if it was in. I know that you only buy a car once every 4 -6 years but still I would think word of mouth is important. Don't take me wrong, this dealer hasn't treated me bad but just when I wanted more information I couldn't get in touch with anyone and it was driving me crazy.

Previous bad experiences leave me expecting that they will all treat me badly. Justification...we actually ordered this car at another dealer on the same day we bought a new Silverado. The dealer contacted us about two weeks later and told us that he would not be able to give us our supplier discount...which is a whole $1000...so we cancelled the order. So having been recently burned by a dealer, the smallest thing makes me very suspicious. I couldn't figure it out...we had just spent almost 40K with them and wanted to spend another 40K but apparently they didn't want my money. So we found someone who would take our money
My husband kept saying, "Help me spend this 40K!"

I guess it is a business I will never figure out. Being an RN we have to be pleasant and caring to our patients even when they are not returning of that behavior, so I don't necessarily understand not treating everyone in that manner but that probably has to do with my profession. Since I spend every making sure everyone I deal with is happy and comfortable I expect that out of everyone. I know...I am expecting too much!
Either way, our car is here. I hate that we can't pick it up today but you always have to complete the paperwork!

Update on my car found out by my boss when he went to the plant Tues:

Not good news for me :(. They said I probably do not want that car because it is on hold because it is undergoing EXTENSIVE repairs

. I will probably be getting a more accurate report a little later on what the repairs consist of.

I just found out that the dealer has a car pretty much like the one I ordered but with a black interior and no stripes so if I decide not to take the one I ordered, I can get that one and have the stripes added.

Tiff, I'm so sorry to hear that :(

Adding the stripes locally is not a big deal, but what color interior did you order? Can the dealer say how long it would take to order up a whole new one or find one exactly how you want it?

I ordered the gray interior. Not that big of a deal to me to get the black since the color scheme is gray & black anyway. As long as everything else was the same (with stripes getting added on). I haven't talked to the dealer yet. I want to get the report on my car first before I decide what to do.

What report are you referring to and how does one obtain it? I fear I'm in the same boat as you. The car has been sitting for 30+ days and that can't be for good reasons. Good luck with whatever you decide.

It's from my boss getting it from his contacts at the plant. When I found out he was going there for a meeting, I printed out my car info with the VIN and he had them check on it. They were going to look deeper into it for him and let him know more specifically what is wrong.

Mine sat for over a month and then it moved from bayed on 1/27 (build date) to bayed on 2/28 and hasn't done anything since. I will be stopping into the dealer afterwork since I have to pick up my daughter from my mom's and the dealer is at the end of her street.

I feel so bad for you about this

. They should be giving you something for everything you have gone through. My husband told me a story about a friend of his. His parents ordered a car and when they were loading it off the truck it got dropped on its roof. Totally destroyed. They gave his father the same car but with more options at the price he was paying for the first one. They need to do something for you!
It sounds like the car your dealer has is pretty close to what you ordered. I guess it depends on exactly what is wrong with your car. I mean if there was a bad engine, and they replaced the entire engine then it wouldn't be a big deal, but if there are frame issues or something like that then I could understand why you might not take the car.
The one thing is, they really need to tell you what is going on at this point.
I am so excited

because we are picking ours up in about an hour but I feel bad about telling you because you are dealing with this now!:(
I will keep my fingers crossed that it all works out for you!

We picked ours up. We got the IOM/IOM combination. The inside side panels on the doors are orange and they have this strip of lights that run along the top of the orange side panel. Wait till you see it...it is so cool!
