2011 SS Spoiler rubbing against trunk recall?

I've done a little research and found a document showing for the 2010 and 2011 models there was an issue with the spoiler rubbing the trunk paint underneath. I'll attach the PDF.

I am wanting to replace the original spoiler with the ZL1 and, of course, the rubbed off paint shows through.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning with Midway Chevrolet in Phoenix where I purchased the car in Dec 2013.

I guess my questions are -

Has anyone taken to the dealership and had it fixed?
Is this really covered?
Will they have to repaint the whole trunk lid, or will they try to just touch it up?
What about the stripes that are on the trunk? Would that be covered?

What is your opinion?
Any help and advice is appreciated...

I had my 2010 SS trunk repainted in early 2011 because of this problem. There is a TSB for it. My dealer wasn't even going to try and repaint just the effected areas they repainted entire trunk lid.

Time for a Seibon carbon fiber trunk lid.

I remember reading about this when I got my 2011 SS in late 2010. I was happy to see my car already had those spacers from the factory. My car was built in November 2010....

Great news!

Midway Chevrolet in Phoenix is taking care of it 100%.

Great service!

I took the TSB in with me, they made a phone call, within 3 minutes had the warranty guy at their collision center across the street and confirmed that they will repaint the entire trunk deck, replace the factory stripes and install the new ZL1 spoiler.

Appointment set for 5/20 in the morning, stated that it will take a couple days and should have back on Friday at the latest.

Will dealers still cover this outside of the bumper-to-bumper warranty?

I have a 14'SS & I hope I don't have this issue when I swap to the 1LE/ZL1 spoiler.

2011 SS Spoiler rubbing against trunk recall?

This continues to be a problem, all the way into 2014 models...

Dealer just took my stock 2014 SS spoiler off, getting it painted satin black... I drove back home since spoiler won't be done for 2 days.
I see the same rubbed off paint chips as pics above.

I just hope when they put it back on I wont see the nasty chewed up parts.

Do you have that TSB PDF still to email me? incase I decide to get OCD :(

Not enough of a protection between the spoiler the trunk. Tiny vibrations and such cause the wear.

I also have this....if you're out of warranty, will the dealer still do a repaint?

I would think they would still cover it since there is a TSB on it. Cant hurt to try!

The TSB that I found: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...6&d=1306112241
Only refers to 2010-11 cars.

Is there an updated or newer TSB? Im going to have same spoiler put back, so as long as I can't see the jarred paint I'll live with it, I guess.
