Question for a newbie - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello, I am newly registered but I have been reading the forums for an extended period of time. I am going to buy a 2013 Camaro 2SS in the very near future. <very excited>

I have a dumb question.

I want to get the 1LE upgrade but I also want a short throw shifter. When trying to "build" a Camaro 2SS on the chevy website, I am not capable of adding a short throw with the 1LE upgrade. Is the short throw shifter already included in the 1LE package?

I appreciate any assistance.

I am pretty sure it's standard. In all SS 1LE, ZL1 models...

Yeah, It comes with it in the 1LE package.

The shifter in the 1LE is already nice and very short

It's optional for an SS, but comes standard with the 1LE package. Same shifter from the ZL1.

The Camaro 2SS that I am looking to buy has the 1LE package, RS package and Exhaust Dual-Mode Performance. Is there anything else I should be looking to have from a performance perspective?

Optional on the SS.

The 1LE and ZL1 also have a different transmission.

From the factory? Nope. RS doesn't really add anything for performance either, it's an appearance package. Unless you wanna argue the hid lights are performance lights, lol.
If you like nav systems, check one of those out. For factory navigation, I'm pretty impressed with the mylink nav.

a ............. well newbie if you have not ordered it yet you have like a whole week then you have to buy it with its options already manufactured off a lot.......because 2014 model year is right around the corner. Usually the cut off was the end of June but it might take longer for the next model year due to body style changes etc... this time as I heard September ?

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
