Custom slp exhaust sounds like crap!!

After a looooong wait I was very disappointed. It is extremely quiet at idle and sounds like a bunch of air coming out the exhaust instead of a nice strong exhaust note. I'm going back to the drawing board as we speak. Should I just do longtubes or cut this crap off and start over?

Hard to beat the NPP exhaust with LT header and High flow cats along with a mild to wild switch.

Ted.

Ted, I would agree. Except for the decel pop and the really annoying pop/cackle when shifting at lower speeds, especially 1-2 shift with light to moderate throttle.

Used to be that was very easily tuned out by decreasing the decel enleanment table. Can that still be done? Some people love it, to me it just sounds like a sloppy tune.

Not sure, but I will ask Ted if it is possible. Or possibly he will see this. I've actually gotten used to keeping on the gas just slightly to prevent it on shifting, but when I forget it just sounds like sh** to me.

You all are correct this can easily be tuned out.
It is a function of Decel fuel cut off not the exhaust design.

Headers and highflow cats is your answer. Then if you don't like it get something different. I have a JBA Catback for sale under 2 weeks use.
