10" Sub Enclosure - Sub_Thump_dot_com

Has anyone had any issues installing a 10" rear-firing sub enclosure from Sub_Thump_dot_com? I have a 2010 Camaro SS and had the enclosure installed yesterday. There seems to be fitment issues with the enclosure that I received, although Steve says that it should fit. Anyone know if there are any instructions online? You would think it should be a piece of cake to at least get the enclosure situated correctly in the trunk, but we could not even get it to stand up. I currently have the enclosure laying flat in the trunk with the subwoofers pointing straight up.

Any help would be appreciated!

From my experience with a different manufacturer but the same setup: insert the box in the trunk with speakers facing up and the top of the box toward the front of the car. With the box almost as far to the rear as possible, reach over the top of the box in the center and grab the box opposite the speakers and lift. You will probably need to scoot the bottom of the box towards the front of the car to get it to stand up. Once standing just push the box toward the front of the car. Took me a while to figure it out as well, don't feel bad.

Thanks! I appreciate the response. Steve says it's the right enclosure, so it should be able to stand up. I'll give this a shot.

There should be a sticker on the enclosure which contains the link to the pdf online.

Aside from that, there is a metal tab hanging down just behind the wheel well that needs to be bent out of the way, and unless cut, the side trim carpet will prevent the sub from pushing into place. The instructions highlight the center 1/3 or the carpet should be removed. After all of that, it is a really tight fit and will take some force to get it into place.

I was hoping not to do any cutting, but thanks for the info. Steve sent me the link to the pdf. I guess I didn't see the sticker on the enclosure when I opened the box.

Won't fit without cutting. The carpet prevents it from pushing back onto place. It will end up sticking out several inches. Otherwise, it pushes in beyond the trunk opening.

I think that the OP is not using the side mount box, he is using the Sub Thump box that installs behind the rear seat. Correct me if I am wrong....

I am using the long, rear-facing enclosure that fits either 10" or 12" subs. Not using the side-mount enclosure.
