Finally got my warranty replacement halo from AAC this week (after 3 months of waiting), and finished up the install in the passenger light late last night

Painted my (Skylane765) Splitter Washers, which I absolutely love, Black. Now they are pretty much invisible. Looked pretty sharp in stainless, but I'm going for that dark menacing look, so now they have virtually disappeared. Yes I used BBQ Black paint, dries in fifteen minutes so I did two coats then reinstalled. It was recommended by my local custom exhaust shop. I was asking what paint would work best on blackening my exhaust tips, caliper or header paint, this is what they said they Always use, it can take a lot of HEAT and holds up for a very long long time. So figured I'd give it a try.
The before original state as received from Skylane765 BEFORE AFTER INSTALLED Now this picture I'm hoping Mister Detailer himself (CharlieTuna) will see it, because I always picturing him having a microfiber towel in his pocket, just in case. Anyway I somehow got a scuff mark on my splitter and not sure how to make it disappear. Won't rub off. Any solutions, anybody out there? Here's the pic, not sure what caused it. I know its not much of a scuff or really a big deal, but if there's a way to get rid of it I'd like to give it a shot! |
