Thank god I have a great dealership that is VERY customer service oriented. They get the "keep the customer happy and they will continue to buy their cars from you" concept. Really feel for you guys that have to put up with shady & difficult dealers.

Completely agree. It's completely covered under warranty. Shoot if you want print out the picture of my invoice that was warranty plastered in like 3 places and shove it in your dealers face.

Okay here is my chip. No where near as bad as the ones you have posted. Should I be worried or just wait till it gets a little worse?

Had mine fixed and took 2 weeks waiting for the right stripes.picked the car up at dealer and it was filthy.Had them wash it and noticed overspray in various locations on the car.Complained to service manager and he said they would take care of it.Ok,so I leave thinking the rattle i was getting under the car was fixed too,but as soon as I hit a bumpy road the noise was still there.Get car home and rinse off and wipe it down and find more overspray and scuff on rim and to top it all off,the ss emblem on the trunk lid was upside down! Car going back on tuesday and was told that all will be made good.
I hope I dont get bamboozeled,

If it were me, I would have it taken care of. You already know its an issue & will only get worse. You'll be in and out hopefully good as new (nothing less) and will have peace of mind knowing the chips are gone. (hopefully for good)

Paint Issues - UGH

I have a 2010 Transformer Edition Camaro with paint issues as well. This car has less than 700 miles on it. It's my show car. Oh, dealer is giving me the run-around. They do not want to take responsibility for this issue. Umm, a show car that has 700 miles on it, never seen rain, or bad weather and they are telling me this is my problem. I am historically a ford owner and now I know why. UGH Constant battle with GM everyday to get this car fixed. Not sure if it's going to get done or not. Thought I was the only one out there with paint issues, as I have been told that this is just an isolated incident.

Ive got a few spots where the paint is gone from under my spoiler. I pulled it off to have a better look, seems there was a knick in the bottom of the spoiler that has been rubbing on the trunk lid. As soon as i find my camera card, ill post up pictures, and ive found some specks of dust or dirt in my paint too. right on the main body lines where they stand out. I bought my car out of state, should my dealer take care of it still?

HOLY #$%^ Are you kidding me?? That is ridiculous. Ive said it numerous times, I can't even imagine having to do business with shady dealerships. So fortunate to have a great Auto Complex in my town which I will give my business to for life.

I hope somehow everything works out for you and Karma bites that dealer of yours right in the @#$%.

Looks like I'll be taking my car that has less than 800 miles back to the dealer for the same paint chip issue under the spoiler on the passenger side. Also noticed the pin stripe is coming off under the spoiler. I feel like
I tried to get a picture..but my camera wouldn't behave.

I've had my car almost 9 months and just noticed chipped paint last week. It's on the actual spoiler, at the bottom where it meets the trunk and it's on both ends.

I do not have the RS package. The dealer had my spoiler painted and installed for me, so I'm thinking they should not give me any trouble fixing it at no cost to me.

Well I have this same issue under the right side spoiler (Car is Black as well). I had already taken her in to get the spoiler bolts tightened and too fish one nut out. She was only a couple months old then and I didn't see peeling then. Saw it a couple months ago and my dealership didn't hesitate, said they would take care of it. Looks like it will take a couple days. They even offered a rental, but I really didn't need one. There really are some great dealerships! Dropping her off tonight.
