Hill Assist Sensor
Does anyone know where the sensor for the hill assist is located on a 2013 LS3?

It's all part of the StabiliTrac system and ABS
There's not just a sensor.

Here are the threads in which I've been involved about HSA:

There is in fact a "pitch sensor" that GM describes in the HSA system used in the Sonic. I'd imagine the same setup is used in the Camaro:
"In a Sonic equipped with hill-hold, a pitch sensor detects the tilt of the body when the car is stopped on a slope and sends a signal to the stability control system." https://media.gm.com/content/media/c...cHillHold.html I tried researching where this sensor actually is, but haven't found any answers yet either.

A tech told me the pitch detected through the gyro sensor that decided when StabiliTrac needed to intervene

http://www.saeparts.com/ProductInfo.aspx?id=7931838 The pitch sensor is a separate part that was added to 2012 Sonic and 2013 Camaro. Haven't been able to find the part number or location yet though. If anyone knows where the yaw sensor is located, odds are it would be mounted in that same area.

I realize this is a couple of weeks old, but I figured I would interject here...
According to the factory service manuals, the yaw sensor (located under the center console) is a multi-axis sensor that provides data to the traction control system and the ABS. This is not verbatim, but a summary. This information is listed under the ABS with F55 option (Magnetic Ride Control i.e. ZL1) and also states that the HSA is disabled when the stability control is turned off. So far no one has been able to confirm this action.

No luck with any combination (TC off, Stabilitrak off, holding button down for 8 seconds and turning everything off, holding the clutch in while trying these combinations as well as putting in neutral and foot off of the clutch while trying them again). I thought I had success at first with T/C off, but it just turned out to be my hill assist timing out after 2 seconds. Sigh...oh well. It was worth trying. Thanks guys for digging and digging. The closer you get the happier some manual drivers are going to be. I would love for this to be defeatable or at the least driver selectable.
