Installing My Metallic Silver Stripes Today

Hey guys. I'm going to install my metallic silver Bumblebee style rally stripes on my black Camaro this morning. I've only done a vinyl install once before so wish me luck. I'm a little scared to say the least but I'm not willing to pay someone to do it at this point.

I'll be sure to post pics once it is complete.

I installed my factory black stripes myself yesterday- it's the largest vinyl I've ever done, and it came out perfect (no bubbles)- better than any job I've seen so far. I figured out the trick to the factory hood stripes- line the back edge up and don't worry about the front, it lines itself up. Your bumblebee stripes will be different- just make sure the car is cool when you do it, and use lots of soapy water.

Got the install done yesterday. I'm fairly happy with it. Could have been much worse. I have a number of small bubbles but I believe they will work themselves out. If not I can remove them fairly easily.

As others have mentioned, everyone needs to check their spoiler bolts. About half of mine were only finger tight or less. I have no clue what the dude was thinking when they attached the spoiler but this seems to be a problem with almost every Camaro that has been checked.

I wanted to do the wrap around stripes on the spoiler but I just couldn't get it to look well. I'm not quite sure the stripes were cut as well as I needed. It might not be a problem for professionals but I found it tough considering the way they were cut.

Sorry about the rear shot. Sun was really bright.

I got them from here. I paid $250 for them at the time. They had great packaging and arrived quickly. Like I said, some of the cuts didn't quite seem right to me but that may be because I am not a professional installer. As long as you have them professionally installed or are okay with trimming them yourself you should be okay.
