I can't stand beer....any kind

I do like southern comfort, and about any kind of bomb drink. My new favorite drink is a 'Chuck Norris' (liquid ice and cherry mcgillicuddy's)

Scotchy, scotch, scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly. Single-malt if you're buying, Jameson if I'm buying

Question Irish or scotch?

Of course, you know that Jameson is Irish whiskey (note spelling of whiskey with an 'e') and tastes very different from scotch whisky (no 'e') because it is not aged in charred barrels as is its Scottish counterpart. It doesn't taste smoky as do all Scotches, including the single malt varieties.

You were toying with us, weren't you? To see if we knew the difference, clever!

It depends. At a wedding or that kind of event it s Jack Daniels and 7UP or Gin and Tonic. If its a barbeque and beer its Blue Moon or Leinenkugels Summer Shandy.

Question Whence comes the snapshot?

Whereabouts in Britain was the above photograph taken? I lived there off and on for a couple of years during my well-spent youth. It was fun.

Hold the phone. Ain't those Euro symbols on the chalkboard menu? It can't be Britain then. Is it Ireland?

I prefer the well aged single-malts but a triple distilled, copper pot still Irish whiskey is a darn fine (read cheaper) substitute. Not that I have anything against our domestic corn and rye blends but me likes the barley
