Engine Cover with Ported and Spaced IM

I purchased a ported IM and had requested a plenum spacer and 1 inch spacer to be installed and come with my manifold. Does anyone know if the engine cover will work over top of it?

Yes but you gotta buy an extension for the oil inlet and you have to extend the little metal prong.

You can buy the oil extension from GM I'm not sure what the part number is and the other you have to fabricate yourself.

No, it won't fit if you have the plenum spacer. That's what I had heard

Yep, you can buy the oil-fill neck extension from GM for $8.00 or so and raise the "rod" mounting point a couple of ways, but it'll still fit if you don't add the plenum spacer too.

I've got the part# at home & I'll post it later .

Who needs that engine cover??????????? It looks better without it. I will not be putting mine back on after instaling my black iceolator. It has already been off a while & no plans of going back there. I am exploring ways to clean up my engine bay. Check out this thread:

Mine was hanging on the wall two minutes after I brought her home.

Funny, because I like my engine bay with my cover than without it. But am looking to do an engine bay clean up over the winter to see what I can come up with to change it further.

Anyone here with machining abilities? Just copy the old post but add the desired length by extending the threads or elongate the top. Shouldn't be to hard with a lathe and a micrometer.

Just get a connecting nut the length you need. I have the Mace 25mm spacer, so I needed to add an inch. They sell connecting nuts everywhere, including Home Depot.
