My experiences are completely opposite.

Both at 3rd gear ? Definitely wasn't a 3.73 m6 as my Mustang would barely cross the traps in 4th and my Camaro does it in in 3rd.......... 3.73 vs 3.45

my 3.31 car puts me around 108 mph in the top of 3rd and 4th over 135 mph.

If its a 2011+ 5.0 Mustang he is gonna beat a stock SS Camaro. Thats just the way it is because of the extra weight of the Camaro but lose about 200+lbs on the Camaro and the Camaro will take him.

You can lose #200 in the mustang as well. Mustang has the one up this gen.

I have not ran a SS that is even close with similar bolt ons. No matter the roll speed i just pull on them. Maybe someday ill run into a Cammed 5th gen that will beat or give me a run for my money.

True life dictates that the optimum scenario regarding good drivers going head to head in these cars is very rare...the odd track matchup ..maybe. But let's be realistic . With the amount if these cars on the road ,the number of good drivers isn't very high, most are average at best. So ....throw all that into a chance run in.....drivers race every time. I Have raced a 5.0 many times...I've won and lost. These are real world results......The driver of the mustang is the same calibre as 99 percent of the driving population. You have your experience..I have mine....maybe I'm one if the good drivers that knows how to drive my car. Maybe not.

It's not all about weight. .. I have owned both and I have compared dyno curves on the same night same dyno.... the LS3 has much more area under the torque curve that makes up for the weight...With that said both my Camaro and 5.0 had similar traps speeds at same or close da....

You have to remember you have a auto vs the 6spd 5.0 you are racing. My L99 wasn't that hard to hook up from a dig at all vs my 6spd 5.0. 275s stock on a SS are much better then the factory 245 or 255 on the 5.0.

^^^^^ My 5.0 came with 235's..... that's ridiculous on a 420 hp, 3650 lb vehicle
