Please understand, quality assessment does not necessarily mean there is an issue with any one or all the cars. It is the plant's opportunity to ensure the cars are meeting and exceeding the set standards before the unit is shipped to the dealer and ultimately delivered to the customer.

Is it realistic to think that none of the cars have passed the quality assessment inspection in the last month?
That's called a canned response to not get the end consumer to panic. I doubt customer service is informed of the reason for the hold.

I just posted over on the other page to Becky to check today on my car to see if it has been released. If I read some of the other post correctly it looks like they have started releasing some. I hope they have and she will have good news for me today!

How many of these quality holds have there been over the past year? In one sense, getting a car that has been gone over with a fine tooth comb at the factory would be a really good thing right?

I'll wonder if it's about the rear main seals. I still get sporadic mouth fulls of burnt oil aroma even as I approach 1,500 miles. I know other people are having this, too.

Well if that is the reason I sure want mine fixed before it leaves there. I just checked my response from Becky and mine is still bayed so I guess it has not been given the green light yet.

Well I do not know for sure but the 1LE's do not have the same tire on them as the ZL1 does, correct? If that is right I would not think that the tires are the reason there is a hold on them. Damn,I hope it is not June before they release these cars!

I agree with you. I am thinkin it is the rear main seal that some are complaining about. Having an oil leak and smelling it is not good. If that is the reason it will take alot of time I imagine to correct this and they will have to take each one they built one at a time and fix it.

Do the 1LE's have the same power steering as ZL1? Maybe a update on it.

I believe all 2013 Camaro SS/1LE/ZL1 models come equipped with the electric power steering.
