I just got back from a 30 mile back road drive...couldn't make the damn thing do it.
I'd like it cleared up as well - one click per driving session, or one click and never again?

Just for those who haven't been able to get this to work, I noticed today that, the sequence must be DIC comes up press SET/CLR THEN clutch in, i noticed it doesn't eliminate the skip shift if you press the clutch in before hitting the button.

If that's the case the $15 is still the better option IMO.

This should be a STICKY.
Not the "ideal" solution for long term, but still a GREAT discovery.

Just an FYI to those struggling with hill assist. You can eliminate it permanently by switching out the yaw sensor to one from an auto camaro. The sensor is located just below the shifter trim, so it's a pretty easy swap. With that said however, it is nice to be able to control via clearing the DIC.

Tried it today, and works like a charm, with both HSA and skip shift.
Great discovery! |

That's fantastic! I already have my skip-shift eliminator installed and I don't have HSA because mine's a 2010, but that's still a really cool find for you guys! Brilliant idea, OP.

Its funny how it works, if you do it once in regular driving mode you dont have to do it again, but you will if you switch to stabilitrac and trac off. It's looking like once per driving mode and done.

My mother avoids skip shift in her Z06 by taking off in 2nd gear. I'm pretty sure our Camaros are too heavy for that though.

Doesn't work with my '13 1LS with the HSA. It clears the message on the DIC but has zero effect on actually turning off the HSA. Tried it with all combinations of stabilitrak, traction control, clutch, and brake. Nothing worked.

Thanks for the info. I'll try again today.
Just for the record, when i put in a skip shift eliminator, i got a CEL. I have a 2013. I think i'm the only one to ever get a CEL due to it though, i've never heard of anyone else getting one. The SSE worked great, but there must have been a bad wire or something in mine.

The camaro takes off in 2nd gear just fine.

I guess rather than providing all the comments of how the skip shift eliminator is better, I'm congratulating you for discovering something new! It's about as rare as finding a new species of animal!!
