Drill Slotted Rotors

I wanted to know for those who have drill slotted rotors, did you use your oem rotors to get drill slotted or did you buy new ones already drill slotted.

Can you please direct me to the company you chose to buy them from, or get them drill slotted at?

Thank you

I just received my new rotors from BrakePerformance.com. All 4 came out to almost $300 shipped. Check my profile to see the pictures.

No check this out, drilled rotors = reduced surface area, = less brake pad biting area= less performance. Full face or slotted is the way to go.

Proof? Do you have any 60-0 times to prove this?

I would stay away from cross-drilled due to cracking.

Get something dimpled like EBC or Stillen.

Try R1 concepts. I have them on my car for about a year now and they work great.

I had one problem the front ones warped and R1 Replaced them right away with no questions.

Here's a pic installed on my car.

Ive heard pro's and cons of drilled vs slotted. Depends on your application of use really. Unless you are autocross you shouldn't need to worry about anything with either style.

From previous cars on which I have bought the drilled rotors and the braking was crap, then I shortly replaced them with the slotted rotors of the same brand and the braking was way better. I have many friends who race and know guys at BMWs Turner Motor Sports who made me realize that drilled rotors were more for stock cars or show than performance.

Anything is possible :]
Although, many trim's of c6 corvettes come with drilled rotors. Even the ZR1. Wouldn't imagine a car that set records at Nurbugring to have poor performing brakes.

I thought the Function of Drilled rotors was to cool down the Rotor.

And the slots is for the brake pads to have better grip to the Rotor resulting better brake performance?

So having two in one Rotor would be good?
