Corsa Catback Vs. Borla S type Catback
So i was just about to order the Borla S-Type Catback. I had it in the online shopping cart and everything! But then I saw the Corsa Catback. I am back to square one with which exhaust to get. I have been resarching this all day with videos and everything. I watch a Borla S-type and people say not much louder than stock, just a different tone. Then I see Corsa advertises ABSOLUTELY NO IN CAR RESONANCE (no drone ). Which one do i get?? Is Borla's drone bad to where I'm going to which I had bought the Corsa?
IN THE END I WENT WITH THE BORLA. THE SALES GUY SAID THE CORSA SOUNDED LIKE A MOTORBOAT AT IDLE. I WILL POST A REVIEW OF THE BORLA WHEN I INSTALL IT! THANKS FOR ALL THE FEEDBACK GUYS Last edited by ApexedSS; 06-12-2012 at 04:55 PM. |

I have the automatic version of the Corsa cat-back and am very pleased.
It's only slightly louder than stock most of the time, but barks pretty well when getting into it. There is no drone whatsoever. It fit exceptionally well - the install was very straight forward. It was immediately obvious that the engine was breathing better - my mileage went up a little and throttle response was improved. |

I think your research has given you good info. Pros and Cons either way and I'm sure you will get all of the same responses in this thread as what you've already read. I will add that Corsa is also quiet. It's not until you get on it or get headers that you will really notice...

A lot of my customers are in the same boat, I think over 90% of them went with Borla at the end of the day:

I have Borla S-Type cat-back and with my mods the drone is HORRIBLE. The quality and fit are excellent however...around town it sounds amazing but long trips its brutal...

I would agree with this! However I am about to add DMH cutouts tomorrow to make it even louder, but then I may add the j pipes to get rid of the drone.

I forget the corsa is there under normal conditions (and that's with headers). But WOT is incredible and outside the car sounds great.
I needed mild inside the car for the missus (and future kids).

I'm dropping my car off tomorrow to have my Corsa and CAI with Scoop installed.
What does WOT mean? |
