You cant say its the quickest ZL1 unless its indeed a ZL1. I cant wait to see the results.

I thought the same as all the others. Why start with a ZL1? Just go buy a 6 cylinder and hack it to pieces. An endless bank account has no limits though. Very impressive build so far.

certainly was the car at the beginning, note door panels, console, headliner as well as license plate and bracket still on front end after removed. Seams like a body in white from GM Performance Parts would have been better idea. Should have lots of Zl1 parts for sale afterwards.

Larry Larson believes in starting with a street car if he is building a car for ultimate street. Look at his Nova. Steel body and a vin#.

Jeff lutz just build a new car for drag week . A 57 chevy 2300 pound TT car. I bet Larry Larson is building this to compete with Jeff. If you do not know what drag week is you definitely need to look it up or better yet try and show up at one of the tracks.
Both these fruit loops drive there "street legal" cars to the track hit 200+ in the 1/4 then hook a trailer up to the car and pull it to the next track. Last edited by Slickcas; 08-16-2014 at 09:13 PM. |

Any sign of the ZL1 this week? I havent heard anything new in months. Add to that Larson is shaking down his new ride I doubt they attempted to enter this year.
Since it's Drag Week... Larson's S10 ran 6.99 today at 164. Fastest pass of the day was a 69 Camaro at 6.52@226. Larsons 660' MPH was 10 mph higher than the Camaro, so there's a lot more left in the S10 (620 CID Twin Turbo Methanol) They are driving 250+ miles tonight Tulsa to Topeka. |

Word has it that they couldn't get the white ZL1 finished in time. Hell they've been busting their butts just to keep the S10 going. With regards to the copo, I think they are planning on pushing that car a little bit faster than most of the copos even
