rear diff

did a quick search, couldnt find much on details and specs. probably not out yet. but any specs on the rear end? hopefully its durable. what kind of dif is in there? can n e one shed some light?

I don't know specifics, but I can tell you that they're all limited slip except for the V6 automatic.

The ratios are known but I don't remember them.

I just hope they're stronger then the last gen cts v and gto's, those were time bombs like the 10bolt that was on the 4th gen f-bodies. probably even worse lol.

There was a thread about it yesterday. I would recomend looking at the ZF diff in the G8. Thats what I expect them to use for cost and development purposes.

I think these will be more durable that the rear ends you've listed. If I remember correctly, GM will be using the same technology/techniques they are using on the ZR1 and CTS-V with regard to "tuning" the shaft diameters in the Camaro, to prevent oscillation which is what is atributed to a lot of axle failures. I'm sure we'll see companies out there that will offer rear end girdles, like they do for the GTO, that will help too.
