Will the ZL1 depreciate?

Just wondering what people though about the possibility of the ZL1 depreciating or staying about the same? I'd like to buy a 2012 in about 2 years if they're under 45g.

It is a mass produced vehicle......what do you think?! Nice car, but from an investment standpoint absolutely nothing special.

Of course they will depreciate unless the build number is 001.
Good luck!

In two years? yea they will be cheaper. In two years im sure we will get wind of a 6th gen. When that happens, you can bet on depreciation. These are mass produced cars we are talking about lol.

It sure will but not sure if it will drop 10 G's unless it has a lot of miles or someone needs to sell it fast. It may be mass produced although it was less then 2% of the 2012 production. Look at the Z06 or ZR1 Corvette. They still retain a lot of their value.

Less than 2,000 cars in 2012 is considered mass produced now ??

1969 GTO Judge - 6,833
1967 Shelby GT500 - 2,048
1970 Boss 302 - 7,013
1969 Camaro Z28 - 20,302

They will more than likely depreciate some in the short term, but don't expect them to tank in value. In the long run I expect they will hold up well.

Yes, less than 2000 cars is still considered mass produced, and yes they will continue to depreciate for the next 25 years or so. The BIG drop happens when the 6th gen comes out... all 5th gens will become "the outdated model" overnight.

Yep, it is mass produced. Plus, all the vehicles you list took an absolute dump in resale value for the first 15 years before they became attractive. Anybody who buys a new car nowadays in the hope it appreciates in the short term is a fool. In 40 years, maybe, for a low milage one.

I didn't mean to open up a can of worms, lol. I guess I misspoke. What I meant to ask is if you guys thought they'd be as low as 45k in 2 years. I know they will depreciate just wasn't sure how much and how quickly.
