I believe you are correct.
The Hurst 3916030 shifter will not fit the ZL1 Camaro.
Hurst needs to produce a new billet/plus especially for the ZL1.

Check out the link that says the p/n 3916030 will not fit ZL1:

not tue.i have the hurst billet plus shifter on my 2013 zl1 and it works great.that must be an error on the lmperformance site.also please refer to the video above,the hurst is a much closer short throw than stock.

Video is not from a ZL1, look at the TCM button.....and no boost gauge

but they are the same in terms of compatability.the only thing that you have to change out is the shifter knob.the hurst billet plus shifter is a screw on type but it comes with a ball type shifter knob that just screws on .it is 3/8x16 and the stock zl1 is a non screw slip on shifter knob.the hurst will work just fine without any mods.there is no difference between any v8 camaros(ss,zl1) when you change out the shifter.

my car is at leading edge performance in las vegas being built as we speak.Its about 8 feet up on the lift and the engine just went in today(cam,pullies,heads,headers,cat back,cai,etc).i will try to stop in on Monday and take the all important picture for you.i certainly have given you alot of my input already and i have posted where you can call and know that it does fit.as a matter of fact a DIRECT bolt in.

It seems like no one has done this other than you, I say Kudos to you and just want to be sure that before I spend about 6 bills that it will work.

Hurst Shifter

OK guys, I will post pictures when I am done with the install in my 13 ZL1, But who can help with information on how to get the stock shift knob OFF.
It says in the video it is hard to get off and they weren't kidding. I am not sre I have budged it.

Any Help would be much appreciated.

Toad,
You could pull on that thing till you dislocated a shoulder and it still wouldn't budge. There is a set screw that holds the stock knob on. Check out this thread.

I just went out and checked and you were correct! There is a set screw as it says in the tread. Back at it in the morning and reinspired.
