Adapting Super High Performaing Intakes to the Camaro
Anyone ever adapt one of the higher end intakes to an LS3? The Haltech Superbee looks pretty fly and I'm wondering how adaptable they are to our cars. There's also a Corvette Vararam kit that has the split in the middle that would accommodate the Camaro's new radiator design.
Yes, yes there are a zillion intake threads out there, but I haven't seen one about adapting a high end intake, and I'm considering it because of Vararam's lapse and lack of information in this area of the market.

Something like a Vararam that might fit the '12+, or the Super Bee. basically one of the higher end intake's on the market. Something that's not a K&N or RotoFab (yes, I know they have fans too, but they aren't "high end", etc).

It's a pipe with a filter on it for god's sake. It doesn't make a difference. Pick one

Here Is a post with how we fitted an intake made for Holden commodores/ Pontiac g8's onto our camaro. Might be a tiny bit more extreme than what you are looking for, but hey, you asked LOL.

I can't see any gain that would be different than the CAI brand with the scoop.

Nothing wrong with a Vararam. That said, i'd hardly call them high end. Some seriously flimsy materials in them.

You can run whatever intake you want. It may take a little cutting to get it to fit right, but that's nothing a sawzaw or plasma cutter won't take care of.
Bring it on over. I'd bet the Bolt-on help desk crew would love to get one of dem dare hy end n tayks to fit.
