2013 LS3 fuel pump
Hello everyone,
My tuner today told me that the fuel pump has an issue, it drops after 4500 rpm. So I'm going to change it, whats the part # for it? or should I get the zl1 fuel pump? and if I'm going to get the zl1 pump what else should I get? my car has intake, tb, fast manifold, udp, headers and exhaust. And I'm not in the states anymore so parts can be hard to find unless its from GM dealership. thanks.

With your mods the stock pump dropping to 52 psi or so is normal. Not a big deal and can be tuned out for NA engines. Find out how far it drops wot before throwing money at it. ADM sells the ZL1 pump and FPCM if you decide you need it.

Can you explain to me what the FPCM is and why it is needed? Isn't the ZL1 pump enogh if you are doing a slight pulley change? In my case 3.8 to 3.6. I guess Im just not sure what it is for. Thanks

For your N/A application it stock SS pump should be enough. Going with boost you'll need to upgrade the fuel system.

Exactly, what are the numbers. Some of the pros think that anything other than 58psi is an issue and needs to be addressed. There are also some good pros out there that say that once you dip into the 40's you need to watch out. Also What's your IDC (injector duty cycle) when your FP drops?

The FPCM is reprogrammed to allow the stock SS computer to ramp up fuel delivery to take advantage of the increased capacity of the ZL1 pump. The ZL1 pump doesn't really help without the FPCM, it behaves pretty much exactly like the stock SS pump without one.

Before you jump on changing that fuel pump, realize you have to drop the cradle to change it. If you do need a new pump, you might as well get the ZL1 pump (even if you don't get a modified FPCM) as the price delta for the part is not that much.

I got a cts-v pump in my setup just in case i get close to maxing out the zl1 pump. Timer recommended it so that you only drop the tank once to address fuel needs

CTSV pumps are good for 800 crank.
