I got one from a CHP in a different county about a month or two ago. He pulled me over off the freeway. He was on a power trip. Made me do a field sobriety test and everything even though I was completely sober...
Anyways, I told him at the end I wasn't going to fix it, and I was just going to pay the fine.
Would have been $25 if I had fixed it. I instead payed $198 and just made the ticket go away.

Here's a solution.. Don't know how feasible it is for the majority of y'all.. Register your camaro In a different state that doesn't have a tint law... Get the plates.. And then your untouchable.. Been pulled over many times in my Tahoe and camaro with tinted windows. Having Oklahoma plates and no tint law can't say tell me nothing or write me a ticket

I've had this happen twice now, but for exhaust and tint. I'm registered in Florida which has no emissions laws, so long tubes and straight pipes are perfectly legal. Last time the leo just told me to go away.

Dumb question....don't I need a mailing address and drivers license in those states to register there? Not a problem for me but I too am tired of the BS laws/tickets. And what if I don't owns car outright? Does that matter?

Tinted windows just give the cops a reason to pull you over...whether they write a ticket or not....

They can bust you for having out of state plates on your car though.

the law is front windows ZERO TINT NONE NADA! unless you have a Dr. note for a skin condition. anything behind the driver you can have as dark as you want. Front window i believe its 3-4" down as dark as you want.

Pretty sure the law says that for non-military, you have to register your car in Cali within 30 days of moving here. For military, you can keep it registered where ever you want. Only two states "require" you to register your car in them regardless of military status, and they are Hawaii, and I believe Alaska (not sure about Alaska though).
