Anyone familiar with New Era Performance in Rochester, NY ?

Considering having them tune my LFX. Opinions? Recommendations on other dyno tuners in the area?

New Era is supposed to be great, but they don't tune V6's. At least they wouldn't when I went there.

I went with IPF tuning (shipped / downloaded) when i couldn't find anyone local to dyno tune it - and I'm happy with it.

Good morning everyone-

I see a calendar of events but not much on it. Could someone point me where there is a listing of NY events and the surrounding region?
Thanks

The calendar is only for club events or specific events members want posted and at this point we don't have much planned. You might check this out.

I already talked to New Era and they admittedly said that they have never tuned a LFX but most certainly had the capability and knowledge to do it.

Said they have tuned hundreds of V8's and I believe they specialize in late model GM platforms.

Gave me a price and everything. Maybe they have changed their mind since you talked to them but they told me I'm good to go...

I'm most likely going to have them do it especially since Livernois Motorsports in Detroit is apparently booked until the fall. I live in the Detroit area for work but I grew up in Rochester, NY (where my family still is) so I have access to both markets.

I'm a little hesitant on a canned tuned from the mail for some reason. I could be crazy but I feel like a Dyno Tune should be better. Like I said, maybe I'm crazy LOL

Oh by all means a dyno tune should be better. They must have changed their minds now. Please let me / us know how they do so we know for the future. The DI motors are very different, but if they are as good as everyone says they are they should be able to work it out.

Mike and the staff at New Era are great. I had them tune my car. Mike is an amazing tuner. Feel free to ping me if you want to chat.

Anyone else going to the Ithaca show Sunday May 15th. If so send ZEDSLED A PM to put you on the list. If anyone up in the Syracuse area is going we could meet at McD's in Lafayette exit 15 off I-81 South. The show starts at 10 also has a flea market.
