Removing interior trim pieces

How Do I remove these pieces?

1) it pops off, just got to pry at it for a while. Has a few clips holding it in

2) pops off. Just go near the front of the piece and pull from there

3) it pops off, just pull up.

4) the auto shifter plate has some screws holding it in place

I bought some plastic trim tools for jobs like this. Do not use metal tools. You will scratch stuff!

I bought these and I've used them a bunch.

If i can ask how do i get off the center trim peice without the guage pack going with it im stummped please help im tryingn to paint it but if i cant get it off ill have to resort to taping off those peices.

There are four screws attaching the gauges to the trim piece. The screws are on the underside of the trim piece. You can't miss them.

Sorry to jump in on this. But how do you remove the trim piece around the steering wheel? do you have to disconnect the battery to avoid airbag deployment?

yes from what i've read you have to disconnect the battery in order to prevent the bag from deploying, pop off the center piece, remove air bag and you should be able to remove the trim then. There's a DIY for this specific action somewhere

What is e exact process To prep these pieces for paint? Cause some are textured and some are a glossed smooth.
