Cancelling my order... - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I was browsing inventories at dealers in MA today within driving distance and found a vehicle about 90 minutes away from me nearly identical to the one I ordered, but in Black instead of White.

So I called my dealer and told him to try to obtain this one and cancel my order (since it's still in 1100). I'm now impatiently awaiting a phone call back to see if he can make this happen! I think it would be in his best interest because otherwise I would be cancelling and bringing my business elsewhere.

I have the GM Card Top-off of an additional $1,000 expiring on Feb. 1, and seeing as though I will VERY unlikely not have my ordered car by then, I think settling for my second choice color is well worth $1000!

$1000 is a good amount to save but make sure that you're ok with the different color option. But I guess you really can't go wrong with any color on this car. They're all beautiful. Let us know how it turns out. Post up some pics when you get it.

how much did you put down? you probably wont get that money back.

Did you order the SS with a manual LS3 engine? I ordered a white SS with black leather interior and a sunroof, along with the RS package and LS3 engine. Unfortunately I have to wait until the end of February or early March. However, if you ordered the exact same vehicle, maybe the dealers will do a transfer/trade.

At this point in time any dealer that can't get an allocation right away needs to be avoided. Sales are slow right now, and so are orders. If you dealer can't get an allocation now they won't get one later in the spring when orders skyrocket again! Good move to go with another dealer IMO.

good move i was looking at black. its so hard to keep clean ... dust shows up really quick on black but when its clean their isn't a better looking color or car

I had a black hummer, and black 7 series, and a black tahoe and for the first time ever, I'm switching to white. I'm so tired of dusting and wiping down my black cars and getting them washed once a week! I have a silver jeep and a silver tahoe and only wipe it down every two weeks! I can't wait to get my white camaro. Remember, WHITE IS THE NEW BLACK!

This car even makes Matte Black look amazing....

I mean, I even bought a GREY one and it's amazing, I can't wait to go see it in.... 38 mins.... 22 secs....

Wait for white. I lost my first one that I impulse bought basically and had to buy one across the country and paid shipping to get another white. No color I've been around has received as much attention as the white.
