Finished up a detail on a sexy, local Camaro

Matt has one of my favorite looking 10+ Camaros that I've seen rolling around and it was my pleasure to be able to work on it. Once he lowers this thing it's gonna look MEAN The flat black accents he added really set this car off. He custom painted his own wheels and bowtie and blacked out his taillights and side markers.

The car received the full process: Wash, Clay, Single Stage Machine Polish, and then Sealant.

It came out great and I think we got a few good shots after as well. I know he's a member of a lot of local boards, but I'm not sure if he's on Camaro5 or not.

Anyway, here are the results:

I will let you know now that it was very tough to get flat black wheels to not show any spotting :P

Couple pictures to show no swirling

Some good reflection shots. These were done at 2pm, so the sun was straight overhead...at dusk this car would have a ROCKING reflection

And just some random shots we got around my house.

These were my favorite pictures that I got

I like how you don't have ANY chrome on the car! It gives it a sportier vibe!!!

Well it isn't my car, but yeah...the owner blacked it all out and it came out great.

I'm generally pretty skeptical of ALL black wheels (I like black with a polished lip) but this time it went really well with the car.

Like I said in my first post, once this thing is lowered it's going to be rockin

Awesome job on the detail, Junkman would be impressed with your "lack of swirls" in the paint as well.

The black wheels work well with the scheme of the car. Thankx for sharing your customers car, cause we really like looking at Camaros...

Those pics of black wheels have reassured me that getting my wheels done black today is going to be AWESOME! I plan on doing pretty much the same things with removing all of the chrome, going with black tail light bezels, taking off the camaro script on the fenders.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys!

The "Junkman would be proud" comment made me laugh. We should make/distribute stickers that say that on this site

Good catch! I totally forgot that I we removed the Camaro script on the side.

It definitely cleaned up the side of the car doing that.

hey guys, that is my car. Thanks for all the compliments!

As for the local guys looking for a good detail, Shawn really knows his stuff. took his time and really put in the effort to make the car nice. i am extremely happy with the outcome. once i lower it i will probably have Shawn take a few more pics to have posted on here.

That particular color is very hard to get good reflection shots with, you did a nice job on the polish. Here's a couple of a Vette I detailed a couple weeks ago that is a very close match to SIM, the only place I could get a good reflection was inside the garage

02pewtersix, Your Camaro looks great Most of the chrome was the first thing to come off of my car, it just didn't look right on CGM.
