Stainless works retro chambered catback exhaust

I was thinking of putting this exhaust on a 2010 2SS M6. I love the tone, just curious about the volume. It's tough to tell from online vids how loud this thing really is. The plan is to leave the stock headers on.

My goal is to get better tone, not to be heard from 3 miles aways. Some noise is to be expected, just not looking to be obnoxious. Just curious what other owners of this exhaust have experienced?

It is not obnoxious at all. Especially with stock manifolds and cats. People around you on the road are going to know you are there but you aren't going to wake up the neighbors if you come rolling in late. The tone is absolutely incredible.

I don't own it, but it doesn't seem obnoxious unless you add headers to it.

They are exactly what you want. Do it. I have the catcack system on mine. No drone and not too loud unless you are really getting on it.

Apex Chase, good thing because I ordered it from you on Saturday, haha. I figured worst case I could unload them pretty easily if it is too loud.

Awesome! Thanks for your order. I predict you will soon be posting a thread about how much you love your new exhaust.

Retro alone not bad at all. Retro + headers is pretty loud.

Retro+headers+cam on a third gear interstate pull will scare small children, women, and most men.

Enjoy it!

I have the SW retro, free flow and headers....the whole works, and I would say its probably a medium sound compared to others, especially after you drive a bit, it mellows out some.

you get the nice rumble, but as mentioned, you aren't going to wake everyone up as you drive through the neighborhood.....

you have picked a good one in my opinion. Ive only had about three other brands in the past, but went to meets and shows before deciding, and out of all the ones I had, and have heard in person, I think the SW's has the best overall sound personally.

I've got it and longtubes with hi-flow cats and I wish it was a bit louder.

I agree! I have the same set-up...and at idle it is VERY "mellow". I get compliments all the time about how good my exhaust sounds, but honestly....it could be just a tad louder for my taste!!!

It's a great sounding catback and will not be too loud especially with stock manifolds and cats. You will love it.

I second this. I caught a chub when I added headers the sound was so awesome. Creamed my pants with the cam. Love my exhaust!!
