Engine covers - available in five colors for the V6 and V8 engines

I'm really not that good with enigines and stuff, but don't get me wrong, I'm not stupid with them either..

anyway..what are these engine covers and where would they go??

These are usually the cover that sit over each valve cover or the entire top of the engine and primarily are just to muffle valve train noise so people aren't bring their cars in complaining of the ticking. The LS series engines do have a bit of a noisy valve train. When you look at the engine bay pictures of the new v6 Camaro, that entire black and silver piece on top is the engine cover.

There will definetly be red and black, maybe silver. It would be sweet to see chrome like the concept, or carbon fiber!

On the V6. I like it without the cover. I think it looks better.

Wires and hoses don't bother me. I like to take a look and keep them clean.

tho the LS valvetrains can be slightly tapping, a lot of the noise comes from piston slap with those motors.
