I've had both the Viper and Autopage systems. I currently have a Viper 5906V and given the chance, I'd go back to Autopage. The Autopage I had was before the company's sale a few years ago so I can not account for their current quality. The Viper works well most of the time but it just occasionally gets flakey. An example: The remote start works most of the time. Once in a while it won't start and the DIC will display the theft deterrent message. Occasionally it will start and think that it is violating itself and sound the alarm. Getting it to unlock both doors took some back and forth work between programming and tying the unlock circuit of the viper to the unlock side of the console lock switch.
Some comparison information. I started out with the Autopage in my 2012 with the iDatalink module. I needed a replacement remote but the company was in unheavals so I pulled the alarm and installed the Viper. I used the USB programmer and reprogrammed the iDatalink for the Viper alarm. The Viper communicates via serial data to the iDatalink.
