thinking about running obx longtubes with catless mids instead of JBA catless downpipes. Will i have any driveability issues with no tune and LT's? I Have heard no issues except CEL with downpipes but headers are not much more and may just do that. I plan on tuning the car eventually just not now. Thanks!

I had no driveability issues when I was running LT's with no tune for around 6 months and over 5000 miles, including a 1000 mile round trip from TX to OK. I did have a CEL on. I just recently got a tune and it feels alot stronger now. There is alot of power left on the table if you aren't tuned. I picked up another 15-20 after the tune.

thanks for the info! yeah i plan on tuning it soon just gotta save the cash up in between mods so i wanted to make sure i wasnt going to have issues

I tried the O2 extenders on the rear sensors, but still got the CEL after about 200 miles. I had dealt with the CEL for about a month before I got my JRE tune. The thing I noticed with LT's and no tune was my gas mileage was worse and would get also get that fuel smell at times. But it was completely driveable. If you don't have to get your car inspected anytime real soon then go for it, and then get your tune when you can.

Adding long tubes will cause you to run rich until you get a custom tune!
You'll also most likely see a CEL pop up. It's not the end of the world but we highly recommend the tune.

driving around with a cel on would make me nervouse. never know when another problem might pop up and you would be idgnoring it.

I've been running around without a tune with my OBX longtubes and catless mids for about two years now. Zero issues with O2 extenders on the rear sensors. It's not running rich and no CEL.

I'm living the above factually. Don't believe people who "assume and think" and people that say "this and that" may happen. I'm telling you if you use the right parts. You'll have no issues.

You will get worse gas mileage until you get a tune....
