I hope it's more expensive (I'm not talkin' Challenger prices, but at least 2-3k more than a similar Camaro)...because if not, it stands a good chance to cannabalize Camaro sales. I've heard a few comments already about how people seem to like the Coupe 60's design better than the Camaro...which is beyond me...

Great Car, awesome for Pontiac. If priced too close, then bad for Camaro.

Great Car, awesome for Pontiac. If priced too close, then bad for Camaro.

But if it's not priced competitively, why would anyone choose this car over a Camaro? Brand loyalty to Pontiac?

It's a niche brand. 30,000 a year production numbers...they'd make it with a higher price than Camaro.

Plus, if this were to get the green light, like the G8 ST I think it would end up being a V8-only vehicle.

There is not point in having 3 or 4 G8's running around. Redo the sheetmetal, make it a coupe, and call it the GTO. Then you would have the G8, the sport truck, and the GTO. All are for slightly different market areas and all would look quite distinct.

I really wish they would do that, but I just don't believe them. The article talks about the hardcore enthusiasts trying to get this to happen. I wonder if this is some sort of compromise for getting a big fat "no" to the GTO.

wow... im not going to lie ..... and i am truly sorry to everyone... but if this car comes out... and has the same specs as the camaro... WOW i love it the moment i saw it... as long as its not 2004 gto heavy and is stiff enough to track... (the 04 GTO wasn't for me...) this is a car i might look into

i love it one reason is because it looks much less exotic than the camaro and my license isnt the greatest right now... it looks REALLY REALLY good
and it will probably be more exclusive

gm better do it lol this car looks freakin sweet... and it will have the ls3... a stick... nice interior same as g8 sedan... you cant go wrong... hopefully its just not heavy... and has an FE3 suspension setup

I just caught the G8 commercial last night, it says it's under $30,000. It's looks ok to me but no way does it look like a Camaro. I know part of the keeping the faith was that the Camaro V8 would base would be under $30,000, so the G8 could steal some thunder. I checked out their options, not very exciting so if the Camaro can top them out on options and they already beat them on looks... we will be just fine.

the g8 coupe is rolling on the same frame on the sedan... which means decent rear seat leg room... dammit ill have to drive my little sister around with all her friends... not getting this...
