I fiercely opposed the bailouts. GM needs a do-over with respect to negotiated unions contracts. Chapter 11 would have allowed GM to restructure and become solvent again. They will be back in the same boat again.

When I worked for Boeing, the machinist union was so strong that a guy installing rivets made more money than an engineer designing the aircraft structure. Same experience... The engineer had four years of college in mechanical engineering and ongoing education. The machinist graduated high school and could only do one thing.. Install rivets.

Totally agree, but since these were built in Canada, aren't they free from most union problems?

If you want to compare the Camaro to an affordable sports car, stack it against the Mazda Miata, Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Mazda RX-8, or Mitsubishi Eclipse. I know which one I would choose.

If you want a luxury sports car, super luxury or exotic sports car, the Camaro does not compete and should not be compared.

The Camaro has an older sister, the Corvette, that fairs well against luxury sports cars.

Interesting, I have owned several sports cars and this muscle car. No critic has ever liked any of them.

What's important is that we like them. I hope they manage to stay around.

Amen brother. As long as WE, the Owners and Drivers enjoy them, then piss off to everyone else. IMHO.
