Jumped right in on the driver's side this morning. Got to run a few errands then I will cut out the patch panel and get it welded in.

Moving right along with the drivers side. Got the panel welded in, got the handle mount welded in and checked handle fitment. Dollied out the panel and while I was in there took care of the dent I got from a shopping carriage a few months ago, also started in on the body work. If everything goes well the drivers side will be in primer tomorrow and I may even get the door panels on. The first picture is everything welded up, the second is after the dolly work, came out real straight, then the start of the body work.

Didn't get all the body work done but finished both door handles including getting the gaps where I want them. Everything is now functional and the door panels are back on. From here it shouldn't have to come apart again until final prep for paint, that won't be for quite some time as I've got a few more things I'm planning on.

I think from here I'm going to make some smoked flush mounted lenses for the DRL'S.

This shouldn't be to big of a deal, nothing like the work on the rear bumper, I hope.

Had a chance to block the drivers door and got some primer on it. Not sure if I'm going to start on the lenses for the DRL's or get back to the tail lights and finalize them. I'm also still debating if I'm going to weld in the gills and get that area smoothened out, still thinking on that one.

Me personally I'd rather see some way of making the gills functional rather than doing away with them. Looking good btw...

Still not sure on the gills, could do something for brake cooling but it wouldn't really do much. I may leave them alone. Besides, warmer weather is coming so finding time to jump into another big project may be difficult. Last time I got side swiped they did get dented so I will have to do something.

iirc there isn't much room to work with back there. ACS came out with some faux vents but said it would be a big PITA to make duct work to the brakes.

I've been known to be up for a challenge now and then. LOL We'll see.
