Just realized...
Went to an Asian plaza in Pleasanton the other day.. then came to the realization that every place I've driven.. I'm the only Filipino with a camaro... I used to drive the stereotypical honda,BMW, and MB. but have always had a heart for muscle cars. my first car was a 71 elco.
I notice I get odd looks from onlookers..hahah. Any other Asians on here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Every time I see an asian driving a Camaro I think it's awesome! Because all my asian friends hate muscle cars!!! They think all American cars suck!

I'm full blown filipino too. Living in the bay area, most asians/filipinos in the bay are into JDM/Stance type of cars. So trust, I can understand the feeling.

Just realized...
It's funny stuff, just yesterday I had a relative ask, " why do you drive gas guzzler"...little do they know.. at least my girlfriend appreciates the car, as it's easy to find on lots. And I always get excited when another camaro parks next to me.

To reinforce the sterotype, my Filipino friend drove a stanced old civic hatchback that was on the floor and has a fatty exhaust. Then he sold it and got a Dodge Avenger, and wants to get a challenger when he gets the coin. I think its great!

My wife's family is Filipino and most of the younger kids drive American muscle cars, they moved on from the imports.
