Nope, unless you get deep, like 11.1s I think you'll be ok without the bar. I had a bad day on sat, a few 11.1's and no one said boo. Def made me rethink getting the roll bar done.

My brother runs low 11's and Atco sent him home and Englishtown slowed him down. I am very close and want to be prepared. I just don't want to weld in a cage.

I don't blame you. That would suck to drive a few hrs then get sent home. I really think you're sol about the bolt in. You can always remove the welded in one if you really want to.

Hi lewylew, My name is Craig with Xtreme Innovations and Fabrication , in the last couple of weeks we had a few phone calls on roll bar kits for the camaros but as of right now we dont have anything because ther wasnt much of a demand for the kits . we have our own body-in-white that we been making all our bolt on parts off of, but we havent had time to make a cage yet for it, but if you and the others want to buy the kits , I can make some if you like..

The problem with that is you have no rear support for the harness bar and is going to rely on the floor pans for its strenght , that will never be strong enough

Xtreme:

I have a hardbar for the C5 Z06, is the camaro really that much different that you can't mount it on the areas where the seatbelts mount to on the side roof area.

Just remember guys, a rollbar is required at those ETs/Speeds for safety. If you have ever seen a high 10 second car flip that didn't have a rollbar, you would definitely want one. Unfortunately a person we saw that happen to now drinks out of a straw. :(

There is plenty of strength for the seat belts with a bolt in.There are 24 bolts holding it in and the belt bar will apply pressure to all bolt pads.

Maybe theres some confusion then because i understood he wanted just one half of a main hoop to attach his seat belt to and no other supports to the rear or side bars . the bars Im talking about 16a ,17a ,51a

I think I know what your talking about , not for sure . Sorry if I dont understand , but 99.9% of what we do is weld in cages because of the speeds and e.ts we deal with and Im all about safty first.
I am not a big fan of bolt-in cages but I underststand that weld in cages arent for everybody , so we will take the extra time to try to find the strongest place to bolt the plates to.
