Not to get too far off topic here, but wow really, how did we get stuck with Penn State as a yearly rival game?! I think our division is OK, but don't know why we got Michigan instead of Wisconsin since they said they wanted to keep the division schools close.

This should be a nice weekend to get the lead out. RMPackers and I have been talking about getting the group together before the end of the summer. What ever we do we would like to try and end up at Big Freds Pizza in Omaha. Wednesday nights at flash backs are starting to get bigger turn outs of cars mainly because everyone knows that the time isn't on our sides in terms of the daylight. If we could get everyone together one more time lets hear some ideas folks.

So I was driving down O street this afternoon, following a SIM SS/RS with black stripes, GFX, and aftermarket exhaust. Tag of FAST SS. If you are a CAMARO5 peep, hello.

SCCA Time trials
I got to do something today that I've never done before, I was the timer girl at the Sports Car Club Association Cone Races out to Airpark! The coolest part was when a corvette spun out in front of me not 10 feet from where I was standing!
I have attached some pics of Ruby at the time trials and then some pics of Dave Hall's Camaro/Firebird. NOT my cup of tea, but nice craftsmanship. If you get a chance you should go to this competition, they do challenges in the evening like "Pinks All Out."

Yea, the SCCA thing was off the hook. I had no idea when I got out there that it would be such a big deal or look like an encampment at the Bonneville Salt Flats! I met peeps from Cincinnati, Dallas, North Carolina, and Washington. The Dallas boys kept running over to look at my Camaro because they wanted to get one and cut it up into a race car. I said “Whoa, did you guys know that there is a Hennessey Camaro modification?” Their eyes got big as dinner plates. The Ohio people thought downtown Lincoln was pretty nuts on game day.
The group that I was timing included two really fast cars, the aforementioned spinning Corvette, and a black Camaro that they said had 700 hp! It was a beast. The race folks asked me to come back on Labor Day, must be difficult to get anyone stupid enough to stand between two lanes of racing cars, but I had gotten pretty sunburned so decided to skip it. It would be great to watch the qualifiers do the run off heats in the afternoon.

Beandip is right, we are burnin' daylight here! It's already dark by 7:30ish.
Let's plan on meeting up at Flasback's between 6-6:30Pm at 3015 S. 83rd Plaza in Omaha on 9/15 and then headin on to Big Fred's for some of the best pizza ever. Hopefully lots of us can make this end of the season meet, I know it's a "school" night but since I'm a nurse I can write you a note to skip out the next day!

Is anyone interested in doing the poker run for MS next Saturday, Sept 18? They wrote about it in today's Neighborhood Extra.
